Now that the warmer weather is finally here, I can’t stop obsessing over summer patio decor. There are so many styles, colours, patterns and textures to play with to create your own unique outdoor living space. Regardless of the size and space of your patio, having a spot to enjoy the weather outdoors is something to truly appreciate. So why not spruce it up and make it something you love?
I’ve put together six different styled looks to hopefully give you some inspiration to decorate your outdoor space. Love something from each? Mix it up! That’s what’s so great about decorating – it’s all about what you like and what reflects your personal style. So if that means mixing and matching from different styles, then go for it! No particular style is set in stone, and nowadays styles are so interchangeable and blended that you can’t really go wrong!
Look One: Boho
A bohemian style feels warm, relaxing, global and a bit unusual. This mix-matched style gives off very carefree and inviting vibes.
Look Two: Eclectic
A mix of textures, patterns, colours and styles creates an eclectic look. Don’t be afraid to mix and match!
Look Three: Farmhouse
A farmhouse style is a bit more rustic and worn. It’s full of charm and character and the colours are typically more neutral. The farmhouse style is totally on trend and is more popular than ever.
Look Four: Industrial
Straight, clean and crisp lines mixed with wood and metal materials result in a “warehouse look”. More masculine in style, the industrial look features neutral tones and utilitarian objects and decor.
Look Five: Nautical
A nautical style is for the beach lovers. Light and airy, a nautical style should create a relaxing and fresh feeling. This style can be established by incorporating lines, navy blues and natural materials together. When choosing colours and furniture, think of shades and styles that resemble the beach side, coastal living.
Look Six: Tropical
A tropical themed space is fun and exciting! Play on bright colours and various textures to create a space that mimics a relaxing, tropical destination. Don’t be afraid to mix up colours and patterns to make a really unique space!
