The fall season is one of my favourite seasons to decorate for, especially for Halloween. I love the colours, the smells, the pumpkins… I even love the tacky halloween decorations! Seriously, they made my childhood! With that said, I have already started decorating for the change in season – I know it’s early, but I just can’t help it!
One of my favourite ways to decorate is by making seasonal signs to display throughout my home. I recently shared on my instagram (@always_amy_) how I took a slightly tacky sign from the dollar store and gave it a new look with some spooky fonts and my Cricut machine. While I was searching for different fonts, I came across so many free options that you can use all throughout the season – and did I mention they are FREE? So I decided to round up some of my favourites and put them all together in one place for you to use. These would be perfect to use with a vinyl machine, like a Circuit or Silhouette Cameo (if you have one), or even to make spooky prints, invitations, signs… the list goes on!
The majority of the free fonts I use are from dafont.com, however if you google “free fonts” you’ll find countless websites to browse through to find the perfect style you’re looking for. While these fonts are all free, they are only fee for personal use.
- CHARLEMAGNE | 2. OCTOBER CROW | 3. HALLOWED GROUNDS | 4. SILENT NIGHT | 5. LAKESHORE DRIVE | 6. PHANTOM FINGERS | 7. RESQURO HALLOWEEN | 8. MIDNIGHT MINUTES | 9. SIMON SCRIPT | 10. I KNOW A GHOST | 11. FROM THE WOODS | 12. POOR RICHARD
Here’s the signs I made from my Cricuit machine by using some of the free fonts I found! The font I used for the “autumn skies pumpkin pies” sign isn’t listed in my Halloween list here, but the font I used for the “witches brew” sign is “Charlemagne”. And if you’re wondering where I got the witch image, I found the free SVG file here. Once I uploaded it into Cricut Design Space, I ungrouped the image and just kept the witch!
So there you have it! Some of my top spooky Halloween fonts. What will you plan on making with these fonts? Let me know below!
xoxo,
Amy
